Workshop - "Soundscaping & Soundsculpting" by Fotis Tsiroukis (EN)

This interactive workshop is an invitation to enter the world of soundscapes and explore their potential for composition and improvisation through Ableton Live. Hermes will guide participants through the fundamentals of the software, focusing on how to create ambience and atmosphere—not as sonic decoration, but as the basis upon which rhythm, melody, and harmony can emerge.

Through hands-on experimentation with generative plugins, arpeggiators, effects, and modulation, participants will learn to navigate digital tools by playing, listening, and exploring. Together, they will build a collective soundscape, adding and subtracting small granular elements to discover how individual contributions can form a more complex musical composition.

The workshop is open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced musicians and sonic artists, and participants are encouraged to bring hardware or software they would like to explore.
