Sophie Stroux

Sophie was born in Munich in 1995. She moved to Münster for her Master in Cultural Poetics, where she studies contemporary literature and art such as circus studies and performance theories. In 2019/20 she lived in Niigata at the Japanese sea and wrote a lot about moving in (almost) foreign languages there.

Her poetry clip "Shinano" premiered at the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival Berlin in 2021, and she was invited to the Tag der Talente and the Treffen junger Autor*innen, among others. Her texts have been performed as plays and published in various magazines such as un:sichtbar Magazin, Der Schnipsel and in Mosaik.
